Hidden LFO Backups — Privacy Notice

Effective November 6, 2026.

Hidden LFO Backups is a private administration utility used by Hidden LFO to store and recover encrypted backups of its community website and Discord bot.

Google Drive access

The utility requests the Google Drive drive.file permission. It creates, reads, updates, and removes its own backup files and folders in the authorized community account. It does not request access to Gmail, contacts, or unrelated existing Drive files. It uses an authorization token stored privately on the Hidden LFO server to perform scheduled backups without requiring the administrator's computer to remain open.

Backup contents and protection

Backups contain the community database, uploaded audio and playback copies, and private deployment configuration. The database can include Discord identifiers, account/display names, member activity observations, events, event proposals, and registrations. Configuration can include service credentials. These contents are encrypted by restic before being uploaded to Drive. The recovery password is kept separately from Drive. The utility does not sell backup data or use it for advertising or AI-model training. Backup data is processed for storage, integrity checks, and recovery.

Retention and control

The scheduled retention policy keeps seven daily and four weekly recovery points. Overlapping points share stored data. Removal of working website data does not immediately remove it from retained backups. Google Drive Trash and Google's own retention behavior may preserve removed objects further. Authorized administrators can revoke the app in their Google Account's third-party access settings; doing so stops future Drive backup access. Existing backup files remain until removed from Drive. Loss of the recovery password can make encrypted backups unrecoverable.

Hidden LFO Backups' use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
